One-to-one psychotherapy is an opportunity for us to work together to uncover what’s driving your binge eating. You may feel confident that you know the reasons why you binge and you may be right, however, very often it’s the things that are outside of our awareness that continue to trip us up and keep leading us into self-sabotage.
My role is to help you to open up new ways thinking and feeling about your eating. The way we think and feel creates our behaviour, so often people try to change their behaviour by…well, simply changing their behaviour. If you are reading this, you’ve probably begun to realise that this just doesn’t work.
I am very conscious that individual therapy is simply not affordable for many people. I’m a big believer in the power of groups and value of being part of a recovery community. Please see bottom of the page for more details about therapy groups and the Connect and Recover community.
Location – All sessions take place either online (Zoom) or on the phone. You do not have to be in the UK as I have worldwide professional indemnity insurance, but unfortunately, I cannot take on clients who are based in the US. If you are in the US, please consider either booking a consultation (see below) or check out the Connect & Recover groups.
Commitment – Therapy is a weekly commitment. I cannot offer psychotherapy on a fortnightly, monthly or ad hoc basis. However, I do offer consultations, which can be booked at a maximum of four per year. These are suitable for anyone who feels like they don’t need or want regular therapy, but would like the opportunity to talk through their binge eating struggles and receive some help to implement recovery tools.
