Individual Psychotherapy Sessions

Session fee: £168 (£140+VAT) for 50 minutes.

One-to-one therapy is a space to explore your relationship with food in a way that goes deeper than just trying to stop bingeing. It’s a chance to understand what’s really driving those patterns — not from a place of blame, but with curiosity and compassion. Whether you’ve been binge eating for years or it’s something more recent, therapy can support you in making sense of your experience and beginning to move toward real, lasting change.

Why choose individual therapy?

If you’ve found yourself caught in the cycle of binge eating, you’ve likely already tried to change your behaviour — perhaps through willpower, diets, or self-help tools — only to find yourself back where you started. That’s not because you’re doing something wrong, but because binge eating isn’t really about food.

Therapy offers a space to gently explore what’s going on beneath the surface — the unconscious patterns, emotions, and beliefs that may be keeping you stuck. When we can bring more awareness to these deeper layers, change becomes not just possible, but sustainable.

Some of the benefits of choosing individal therapy include:

What to expect

01 - Firstly

It's important to find a therapist who feels like a good fit so I always recommend people check out my YouTube channel first. This will help you to know if I'm the right therapist for you.

02 - And then

Send me a message via my contact page letting me know what your availability is like and I can see if I am able to accommodate a time that works for you.

03 - Therapy begins

You can come for as long as you need or want and you can cancel anytime. There is no minimum or maximum number of sessions.

Is Therapy Right For Me?

Individual therapy is for you if you’re ready to stop going round in circles with binge eating. You might feel stuck — like you want to change but can’t seem to make it happen, no matter how hard you try. You may already have some insight into your eating patterns, but something still feels like it’s getting in the way. That’s where therapy can help.

This work may be a good fit for you if:

Meet your therapist

I’m a qualified and BACP-accredited psychotherapist specialising in binge eating — not just through training, but lived experience too. After over a decade of struggling with binge eating and bulimia, it was deep inner work that finally transformed my relationship with food. That journey now informs how I support others.

Since publishing I Can’t Stop Eating (an Amazon bestseller) in 2020, I’ve raised awareness through BBC Radio One, Sky’s Roundtable, BBC Breakfast, and professional trainings. My YouTube videos exploring recovery and self understanding have been viewed over 3 million times.

Frequently asked questions

Location – All sessions take place either online (Zoom) or on the phone. You do not have to be in the UK as I have worldwide professional indemnity insurance, but unfortunately, I cannot take on clients who are based in the US. If you are in the US, please consider either booking a consultation (see below) or check out the therapy groups.

Commitment – Therapy is a weekly commitment. I cannot offer psychotherapy on a fortnightly, monthly or ad hoc basis. However, I do offer consultations, which can be booked at a maximum of four per year. These are suitable for anyone who feels like they don’t need or want regular therapy, but would like the opportunity to talk through their binge eating struggles and receive some help to implement recovery tools.

Number of sessions – There is no minimum or maximum number of sessions you need to attend. I don’t offer block bookings as I don’t like to tie people into a certain number of sessions. My advice is to come for as long as you feel you are benefiting from attending.

Availability & Prices – My clinic hours for individual sessions are Monday – Wednesday during day time hours. Evenings and weekends are reserved for groups and workshops. Sessions cost £168 (£140 plus VAT).
