Connect and Recover Groups
Connect and Recover is an online psycho-education and support group designed to bring people together to explore their relationship with food and body image — and to begin stepping out of the destructive cycle of bingeing.
Through a combination of guidance from me, reflective exercises, and group discussion, we’ll explore what’s really keeping you stuck — and start loosening the grip of old, unhelpful patterns.
This group isn’t about willpower or quick fixes. It’s about changing the way you see the problem — because when your perspective changes, so does your ability to take meaningful action.

Open to anyone who’s attended a Connect and Recover group.

How does a Connect and Recover group help?
If food rules your life, chances are you’ve spent a long time trying to “fix” it. You might blame yourself for not trying hard enough. You resolve to do better, and yet the bingeing continues.
Most people assume one-to-one therapy is the only way forward. And while binge eating can feel like an incredibly lonely struggle, something powerful happens when people come together to face it.
When you’re in a group with others who truly get it — who have lived through the same patterns of secrecy, shame, and self-blame — there is often relief, a release. From that place, things can start to shift.
The 3-hour session is roughly split into two parts; the first half is about understanding the problem and in the second half we focus on what your next steps to recovery could be.
You’ll be invited to consider questions you have probably never asked yourself before and with these new questions new perspectives arise

- You long for peace with food but don’t know how to get there
- You’re open to looking at binge eating from a new perspective
- You want support, but you’re not ready (or don’t feel able) to commit to regular therapy sessions
- You’re tired of doing this alone and want to connect with others who truly understand

Who runs the groups?
I run the 3-hour groups and the monthly support meetings. On occasion, another therapist has covered the support meetings when I have been unable to do it. This has only happened 3 times in 5 years so it is not a regular occurence.

Meet your therapist
I’m a qualified and BACP-accredited psychotherapist specialising in binge eating — not just through training, but lived experience too. After over a decade of struggling with binge eating and bulimia, it was deep inner work that finally transformed my relationship with food. That journey now informs how I support others.
Since publishing I Can’t Stop Eating (an Amazon bestseller) in 2020, I’ve raised awareness through BBC Radio One, Sky’s Roundtable, BBC Breakfast, and professional trainings. My YouTube videos exploring recovery and self understanding have been viewed over 3 million times.
