Rooted & Restored Residential Retreat

A 4-day retreat for food and body healing hosted by two therapists

Get away from the daily noise and the constant striving and come home to yourself.

Rooted and Restored is a four-day, residential retreat hosted by therapists, Sarah Dosanjh and Kirstie Burnett, designed for anyone who is tired of fighting with food and feels disconnected from their body.

Together we’ll explore what it means to soften, to listen, and to belong — in our bodies, in community, and in the creative flow of being human.

🌸 What to Expect

This retreat weaves together therapeutic group work, creative expression, self-reflection and guided meditation, all held within a small, supportive community.

You’ll spend these four days in a peaceful countryside setting, surrounded by nature, nourishing food, and compassionate company.

Our days include:

    • Sharing circles, psychoeducation and group discussions led by experienced therapists

    • Guided creative sessions (no artistic skill required!) to explore your relationship with food and body through colour, texture, and play

    • Meditation, gentle movement and grounding practices

    • Personal reflection exercises to deepen self-understanding

    • Time for rest, connection, laughter and integration

👥 Why Join Us

Because true healing doesn’t come from more rules, more willpower, or more fixing, it comes from healing from the inside out.

Over these four days, you’ll have the chance to connect with your body and who you are in a deep and powerful way. This isn’t about trying to change yourself, but about creating space for something softer, wiser, and more real to emerge.

Between us, we bring a rare blend of personal and professional insight.
I’m Sarah Dosanjh, psychotherapist, author of I Can’t Stop Eating, and creator of The Binge Eating Therapist. I’ve spent years helping people untangle the shame, fear, and inner conflict that keep them stuck in cycles of bingeing and body struggles because I’ve been there too.

And I’m joined by Kirstie Burnett, a creative therapist with extensive experience supporting people healing from trauma and abuse. Her approach helps you access what words alone can’t reach through art, movement, and the creative process as a doorway to self-discovery.

Together, we’ve created a space that’s intimate, honest, and deeply human — a place where you can be seen and supported just as you are.

Every room is single occupancy so none of the awkwardness of having to share with a stranger. If you are coming with a friend or companion and would like to share a room this can be arranged. All meals are included and, in line with the ethos of the venue, all meals are vegetarian. Most dietary requirements can be catered for.

We’re keeping this retreat small so every participant can be truly held.
Spaces are strictly limited, and we expect them to fill quickly.
If this sounds like the healing you’ve been craving, we would love for you to join us. Any questions, please contact us here.

Meet Sarah

I’m a qualified and BACP-accredited psychotherapist specialising in binge eating — not just through training, but lived experience too. After over a decade of struggling with binge eating and bulimia, it was deep inner work that finally transformed my relationship with food. That journey now informs how I support others.

Since publishing I Can’t Stop Eating (an Amazon bestseller) in 2020, I’ve raised awareness through BBC Radio One, Sky’s Roundtable, BBC Breakfast, and professional trainings. My YouTube videos exploring recovery and self understanding have been viewed over 3 million times.

If this speaks to you, I’d love to welcome you. Booking your place now ensures you won’t miss out on this weekend of insight, reflection and connection.
